The Federal Emergency Managment Agency (FEMA)

FEMA Recovery Division

Recovery’s mission is to support communities in rebuilding so individuals, civic institutions, businesses, and governmental organizations can function on their own, return to normal life, and protect against future hazards.

FEMA Response Division

The Response Directorate provides the core, coordinated Federal operational response capability needed to save & sustain lives & protect property following disasters.

Mitigation Division

Federal Emergency Management Agency manages the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and a range of programs designed to reduce future losses to homes, businesses, schools, public buildings, and critical facilities from floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters.

FEMA Preparedness Division

This Division leads the nation’s efforts to build and sustain collective capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from disasters.

State & Local Emergency Management Officials

Meet with Senior State & local Emergency Management Officials across the country on a regular basis.
