Carlos A. Duart is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CDR Companies, Inc., a diversified enterprise supporting infrastructure, emergency response, healthcare operations, and project finance services in partnership with federal, state, and local agencies across multiple states. He has more than 25 years of experience in disaster response and infrastructure, beginning his career following Hurricane Andrew.

Over the course of his career, Duart has overseen disaster response and recovery efforts involving more than $10 billion in damages and contributed to more than $20 billion in engineering and infrastructure projects. His work spans emergency management services, large-scale disaster recovery, and major transportation infrastructure initiatives.

Duart holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Florida International University and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School. He is Chairman of the Florida International University Board of Trustees and a member of FIU’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
