Brooks Wallace is the President and owner of DebrisTech, an industry leader in disaster debris monitoring. A civil engineer by trade, he has managed countless projects involving infrastructure upgrades, including the modernization of local and regional maps and surveys. He has worked with law enforcement agencies, municipal governments, state agencies, and FEMA on projects ranging from smart growth plans to large-scale utility and resource redesigns. His vast array of experience in the field of civil engineering and in debris removal monitoring following Hurricane Katrina, allowed him to identify vulnerabilities and inefficiencies in the monitoring process. He realized the technology was available to provide real-time data while creating a database of information that could be referenced at any time for compliance purposes. In response to a need for real-time auditing of debris removal projects, he developed the software platform for what has evolved into DebrisTech. Under his leadership, DebrisTech has provided over 250 local, state, and federal government entities with disaster assistance for floods, ice storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, and COVID-19 response.
